Pernilla Rönnberg

Estelle & Thild

Designer/Entrepreneur

When Pernilla Rönnberg had her first daughter, she found no mild organic children's products without unnecessary synthetic chemicals. It gave her the idea to create a completely organic skincare range with as pure, natural and skin friendly products as possible. To ensure the best quality and gentleness, products were developed in cooperation with dermatologists and pediatricians. Content and production became certified organic by Ecocert.

The strong demand also resulted in a skin care series for adults. The concept was the same - a mild high-quality, organic skincare range for conscious consumers seeking to protect both the health and nature. Our product line consists of a total of 25 products for children and adults, but increased continuously.

Today, Swedish Estelle & Thild products at KICKS stores in Sweden, Norway and Finland and in pharmacies, selected children, interior and design shops. Several countries in Europe and Asia are next in line for a launch. The company's mission is to grow primarily in order to make a difference in our environment.

Pernilla Rönnberg is president and founder of Estelle & Thild. She has worked as CEO of a skin care company and has also worked as a consultant to several agencies in the communications and branding. She has studied marketing at Stockholm and New York and an MBA from Stockholm School of Economics.

Mikael & EvaLotta Rickfors

Rickfors & Rickfors Bamboojamas

Designers/Entrepreneurs

The Rickfors are a music artist/composer/former lead-singer of The Hollies and an entrepreneur/pilot/former fashion model couple who together create music and design clothing. The Rickfors & Rickfors design concept became a reality when EvaLotta read an interview with Mikael in a fashion magazine in the spring of 2009. Mikael was asked if he was interested in fashion and his answer was “Absolutely! I would like to re-create the fashion from my time on the island of Ibiza.” But he wasn’t quite sure of how to do it.

EvaLotta had her first sewing machine when she was 14 and has since sewn and designed clothing for herself and friends including her own wedding dress. In the French West Indies she made a living by designing T-shirts and selling them on the beach. She even made a little label out of silk ribbons which she attached to each T-shirt. Her first designer label!

Mikael has experimented with clothing during all his years on stage and has been sponsored by many well-known designers. To create his own clothing that works on stage as well as every-day is excellent fun! With a background in art and design schools he has a good feeling for colors and shapes.

Rickfors & Rickfors is their label and they want to contribute to an eco-friendly fashion by using organic or recycled materials in their designs. That their first piece was a baby pajama is only natural as they had a little son at the end of 2007.

Lisa Furuland

Enfant Terrible® Sleepyhead

Designer

It was after more than ten years in the media industry that Lisa Furuland started Enfant Terrible® Design. After a classic language programme in college, art history at Stockholm University, professional photography studies, architecture education at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, and a few years as a freelance translator/subtitler, in 1995, at the age of 24, Lisa entered into the media industry by founding the subtitling company Broadcast Text. More than a decade of hard work and great achievements followed; in the MD’s position, Lisa took to action to develop a very successful international company with offices in more than ten countries. But Lisa wants the challenge, and in 2006 Lisa decided to leave and set up a new localization company, Hippeis Media, together with a partner. Hippeis Media is active globally and offers everything within localization and post-production to broadcasters and film distribution companies.

In 2006, Lisa started Enfant Terrible® Design. When her first son was born in March of 2006, Lisa came up with the unique idea of the Sleepyhead® baby bed, which is now launching internationally. Under the brand Enfant Terrible®, Lisa also designs baby and children's clothes and accessories. The clothes and accessories in the collection Picture Perfect is one large display of fantastic and captivating illustrations, all appealing to any child’s vivid imaginary world.

The term ‘enfant terrible’ is used to describe dashing personalities who are strikingly unorthodox, innovative and colourful. The true personality of any child is confident, curious, full of life, daring and genuinely happy and excited about the possibilities the world has to offer. Consequently, there is nothing average or conventional about Enfant Terrible®. Only the very best is good enough for our madly loved and very own ‘enfants terribles’.

JOSSES BARNMAT, MELLISBOK & BARN OMBORD – BOOKS

Author

It all started with my project on maternity leave - Anna and Hugo Barnmatsbok. My passion for children and food took over. As a trained lawyer with a focus on environmental law, I have never worked, instead I wanted to learn to write and after one year of journalism education I began writing newspaper articles. During this time I also participated in the lauch of the Internet portal barnfamiljen.com, was working as a editorial assistant at the magazine Våra Barn, prepared baby food in one season TV program Babyboom with Emma Wiklund, and have been working as a freelance for different magazines such as Gourmet, Glamour, Buffet and others. And I’m working as home economics/food teacher at Alpha School.

Over the years, it has come to be five books all in all. It started with Anna & Barnmatsbok Hugo (1999), a book that gives parents the courage abandon baby food in a jar as the only diet. The book was a success and resulted in that I held courses about baby food around the country for ten years. This was followed by Flytta Hemifrån Boken (2004), Time Publishing. I got the idea for the book from our daughter Emily’s summer neighbour on Gotland, which was in the process of moving from home and had not really grabbed what that meant.

A few years later asked my friend Andrea Sundstrand who was working with baby swim asked me if I wanted to help her with a book about children and food on the boat and it resulted in Barn Ombord (2009). Josses Barnmatsbok was released in February 2010 and is a guide for parents in how to cook in their own good and healthy baby food. It is a developed version of Anna’s and Hugo’s Barnmatsbok where experience and issues from a decade of courses been added.

And now my fifth book has just come out and called Josses Mellisbok. It is a cookbook for children with clear step- by-step instructions and simple recipes and good snacks for the kids when they get home after school and need to fill in with little energy before doing homework, training and all what these little creatures do.

BAMBOO BABY ROCKER – BY BOMBOL®

Founder - Designer - Sales

Babies are busy little bees. Especially for them Bombol has created the innovative Bamboo baby rocker with its patented Dynamic Backrest (DBR). This technology enables Bamboo to sense the baby’s needs – sleeping, sitting, or playing – and helps the baby to choose their position by adjusting their weight. This design does not impose a position but allows the baby to change his or her own position regularly which is essential for a healthy development.

The light structure and conscious purity of its design conceal its precision mechanics. The exact distribution of elasticity and rigidity over the aluminum frame allows controlled bouncing even with the baby’s small movements, while the intelligent patented 3D curve remains stable and secure under the weight of its precious load. Self-rocking has a soothing and often comforting effect on the baby.

Everyday life experience shows that it is essential that the baby’s position can easily be adjusted without removing the child nor disturbing the baby’s sleep. Additional design features are: the bi-colored fabric which is visible when the backrest is lowered; and the possibility to turn into a small “chaise longue” by removing the front belt and hiding all attachment points.

Bombol develops and produces in Italy, using local craftsmanship and specialized knowhow to match the highest quality standards and consumer expectations. The Bamboo baby rocker has been extensively tested, is certified to bear up to 9 kg, and is compliant with the European safety norm EN 12790:2009.
